The Wait is Over...
ATTENTION SERIOUS GAMERS:
Prepare your thumbs!
Because today we are introducing the availability of our first gaming tablet: the ARCHOS GamePad with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean!
Since the tablet and Smartphone market boom, gamers have longed for a touchscreen device with physical controls to suit their gaming desires. They don’t have to wait any longer! Here at ARCHOS we’re excited to announce the release of the ARCHOS GamePad powered by Android 4.1, Jelly Bean. It is now available for purchase in Europe and will be soon in the US!
We’ve paired physical gaming controls with a full Android touchscreen tablet to satisfy the practical AND entertainment needs of gaming enthusiasts.
The GamePad features a 7-inch, capacitive screen, physical control buttons and analog sticks and runs a dual-core processor @ 1.6 GHz combined with a Mali 400mp quad-core GPU.
The GamePad’s patented game recognition and mapping technology ensures that the physical buttons are compatible with Android games that use virtual controls. The gaming controls include an integrated D-pad, ABXY buttons, and two analog thumbsticks. Unlike other disappointing tablets with touch controls that lacked response and compatibility for their advanced games, the GamePad is already compatible with a thousand advanced game titles. The device will also have full access to the Google Play market’s tens of thousands of games.
Other specs include 8GB of internal storage, plus a microSD card slot that adds up to 64GB. Bring the fun of your gaming tablet to a larger screen with the device’s mini-HDMI connection for outputting content to your TV.
The GamePad will be available in the US starting in the first quarter of 2013. An exact date has not yet been given for North American ARCHOS fans, but don’t you fret, the minute we find out, we will be sure to share it with you!
